10 Types of Interviewers

Job hunting can be pretty stressful. Reading ad after ad, sending out resumes, filling out applications, calling to follow up in hopes of just getting a chance to interview can wreak havoc on the nerves. You worry, and worry and worry some more. Then the phone finally rings.

As you agree to a date and time to meet the prospective employer for an interview you sigh with relief and feel a sense of excitement that maybe this is the one. You relax a little bit and start planning on your interview strategy. As the date approaches however, a whole new feeling of stress and anxiety may start to take it’s hold.

The best you can do and make sure you know your own history and can present it in the best way possible. You can also prepare for the different types of interviewers you may come into contact with.

There is a great article on the AT&T website that outlines 10 different types of interviewers, what you can expect and how to handle them. You can read the article in it’s entirety here. The old saying that “Knowledge is Power” holds true even in situations like this. The better you can prepare, the more relaxed you will be. Good luck!
